Garry E. Francis, age 69, of Glenwood, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019. He was born on March 19, 1949, in Amity, the son of Autry Odell Francis and Okal Muriel Short Francis. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Nelda Francis; and two brothers, Verlon “Bo” Francis and Archie Francis.

Garry was a Christian in his faith, a United States Army veteran and worked in the trucking industry for over fifty-two years. He enjoyed fishing, mowing his yard, going to auctions and flea markets and watching Western movies and television shows. He was known for his Saturday morning breakfasts with his family, and he showed his love by “pinching” their cheeks.

He adored his sweets, but even more, he adored his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Jarrid and Keri Francis of Booneville, Jackie and Jason Bowen of Glenwood and Josh and Kim Francis of Beebe; his grandchildren, Kolin Cogburn, Nicki Bowen, Taylor Bowen, Payton Bowen, Logan Gunter, Autumn Gunter and Kyler Francis; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewain Francis of Amity, Bruce and Cathy Francis of Murfreesboro and Darlene Featherston of Glenwood; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 19, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro.

John McAnally officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kolin Cogburn, Christian Miller, Corey White, Jason Bowen, Shawn Bowen and Greg Factor. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny McGrew, Eddie McGrew, Kenny Ray McGrew, Logan Gunter, Gary Wayne Lowery and Tim Robertson. Guest registry is at www.
