Obituary for Gary N. Blankenship Sr. Gary N. Blankenship, Sr., 77, of St. Albans passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House, West, South Charleston. He was born in St. Albans to the late Leonard and Elsie Blankenship. He was also preceded by his sisters, Niecil Stutler and Minnie Mynes; brothers, Harvey and Leslie Blankenship.

He was a retired truck driver for Inland Products/Valley Proteins with 28 years of service. He was also a former employee for Jarrett Construction with 25 years of service and was also a member of the Teamsters Union, Ohio. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Wanda Blankenship; daughters, Tammy Phelix (Billy) of Scott Depot, Cherie Hizer of St. Albans and Jerri Nelson (Dale) of Charleston; son; Gary N. Blankenship, Jr. (Melissa) of Hurricane; sister, Christine Edswards of St. Albans; brothers, Ronald Blankenship of Grafton and Bobby Blankenship (Nellie) of St. Albans.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Christopher, Steven and Sara Phelix, April Cavender, Melissa Carper, Jackie Skeen, Donovan and Brennan Nelson; great grandchildren, Ellison, Delilah, Allie, Cadence and Dylan. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, November 26, 2018 at Teays Hill Cemetery, St. Albans with the Pastor Gene Brooks officiating. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hubbard Hospice House, West for all their wonderful care they gave Gary during his time of illness.
