Obituary for Sylvia Maynard Hines Sylvia Maynard Hines, 91, of St. Albans passed away November 19, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. She was born in Pike County, Kentucky to the late Elbert and Ada Adkins Maynard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis C. Hines: sister, Ida Slater; brothers, John W. Maynard and Elbert Maynard.

Sylvia was a statistician for the United States Department of Agriculture. She attended the Washington Street Church of Christ, St. Albans. Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl J. Bernard of Pikeville, KY and Andrea Baker (Bill) of Franklin, TN; step-son, William Hines of Melbourne, FL.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; niece, Reta S. Maynard; nephews, Rodney Slater and Nelson Maynard. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 23, 2018 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with Rev. Tom Price.
