Gaye’s Obituary Gaye Ruth French, 73, of Boissevain, VA, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. She was born September 13, 1945, the daughter of the late Harry E. Lewis, Sr. and Ruth Lambert Lewis. She was a member of Southview Church and had retired as a nursing assistant.

In addition to her parents, Gaye was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Arnold Lewis; a daughter, Angela Garland; two sisters, Elaine Haynes, and Betty Bailey; three brothers, Bobby Lewis, Billy Lewis, and Harry Lewis, Jr. Those left to cherish Gaye’s memory are her husband, Donald A. French of the home; daughter, Kimberly Lewis and fiancé, Rick Helms of Abbs Valley, VA; foster daughter, Martha Fix of Roanoke, VA; brother, Danny Lewis of Tazewell, VA; two sisters, Gail Colobro of Freeman, WV, Debbie Miller of Bluewell, WV; three grandchildren, Ashley Lewis and fiancé, Drew Mullins, Laken King, and Samantha Garland; three Great-grand children, Jaxson Mullins, Ainsley Edwards, and Braiden Edwards. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Novell officiating.

Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.
