Geoffrey (Geoff, Shadow, Geoff Roe) Lawrence Sorden died on June 18th, 2018 at the age of 48. He was born December 2nd, 1969 in Colorado Springs, CO and moved to Anchorage in 1975, making the city his lifelong home. Geoff loved Alaska and made a vast network of friends who became his extended family.

He and his longtime companion Michele brought three wonderful boys into this world and he loved each of them deeply. Geoff was a great handyman and began taking apart things as a young child. He loved the Raiders, clear from his ever-present Raiders hat.

Geoff was funny, charming, outgoing, and mischievous. Above all, he was devoted to his family and friends, and would do anything for them. No matter what troubles came his way, his kind and generous soul never wavered.

Geoff was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his longtime companion Michele Rider, sons Shad and Gavin, mother Carol Burton, sisters Renée and Rachelle Burton, and many friends and family. He is preceded in death by his son Geoffrey, father Larry Sorden, Peter and Evelyn Merryman, Markle Ewan, and Kimberly Ewan.
