George Donald Miller, 89 passed away peacefully on May 3, 2018. He was the son of the late H.W. and Ida Belle Derrick Miller. Survivors include daughter, Kathleen Miller; son, Chad Miller; daughter-in-law, Joan H. Miller; 3 grandchildren, Laurie Miller Rikard (Greg), Ashley Donald Miller (Emily), and Alexander Ryan Miller, and 5 great-grandsons, Matthew and Colton Rikard, Andrew, Carter, and Drake Miller.

He was predeceased in death by his wife of 63 years, Gloria Copeland Miller (2012) and his oldest son, Donald Stough Miller (2011). George was a member of First Baptist Church, a graduate of B-L High School and Newberry College. For most of his working career, he was co-owner of E.S. Copeland Manufacturing Company in Batesburg.

George loved Carolina football and cherished time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Lexington Trace at LMC Extended Care, and Tri-County Hospice for their excellent and dedicated service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Ridge Crest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at the home and following the graveside service in the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Batesburg, 436 W. Church St, B-L, SC 29006. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family.
