Obituary for George Edgar Ransom George Edgar Ransom, 93, of St. Albans passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at CAMC General Division, Charleston. He was born in Blue Jay to the late George O. and Monnie Basham Ransom. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Loraine Ransom; several brothers and sisters.

George retired from Jarrett Printing Company with 35 years of service. He attended The Crossing Church, St. Albans. He was a US Army veteran, having served his country during World War II.

Surviving are his daughters, Patti Goodwin, Donna Samples (Cliff) and Sherri Atwood all of St. Albans; brother, James Ransom of Daniels. Also surviving are his loving grandchildren, Kristina Kruszynski (Paul), Brandy Goodwin, Carla Taylor (Adam) and David Atwood; great grandchildren, Treyson, Zayden, Addison, Makenna, Harper and Josie. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with Pastor Stan Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Christ Kitchen, In Memory of George E. Ransom, 405 B Street, St. Albans, WV 25177.
