George Nicolaas Sodenkamp Jr. January 7, 1958 ~ January 31, 2019 George Nicolaas Sodenkamp Jr. 61, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 31, 2019. He was born January 7, 1958 in Ogden, UT, the son of George N. Sodenkamp Sr. and LaVell Kendell. In 1978, he married Louisa Perkins.

They later divorced. George worked at the Clearfield Freeport Center for almost 38 years. George was an avid camper and fisherman.

He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and lifelong friends. At work he was known as the dude. His grandchildren will always remember their cowboy grandpa.

George is survived by his son Jess (Tiffany) Sodenkamp and their two children Garrett and Madison; his daughter Jennifer (Bradon) Clark and their three children Jaden, Gage, and Shae; his brother John Sodenkamp, stepbrother Les Lewis, and stepsisters Sherry McCoy and Charma Richardson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents George N. Sodenkamp Sr. and LaVell Kendell Smith and stepfather James E. Smith and stepmother Della Sodenkamp. Graveside services will be held Friday, February 8th at 2 p.m. at Ben Lomond Cemetery 526 E. 2850 N. North Ogden.

. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.
