Geraldine’s Obituary Geraldine Fowler, of Wichita Falls, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019. The family will receive friends between 2 and 4 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at Faith Village Church of Christ with Ministers Dennis Cady of Wichita Falls and Les McGalliard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, officiating.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Randlett, Oklahoma under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Gerry was born October 1, 1941 in Davis, Oklahoma to the late Floyd and Helen Coppenbarger. At the age of 4, the family moved to the old Newtown site northwest of Burkburnett, Texas.

She attended and graduated from Burkburnett High School and on June 7, 1959, she married Travis “Wayne” Fowler. That union lasted 59 ½ years until her death. During the first year of that union, Gerry served as a clerk for an attorney in Burkburnett and following their move to Wichita Falls, she worked for GMAC Finance until the arrival of their first child.

She then worked as a teacher of pre-school students in Wichita Christian School until becoming a full time loving homemaker. Gerry, lovingly known as “MiMi” was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, Wayne; two sons, Gregory “Greg” Fowler and his wife Stacy, and Mark Allen Fowler; her daughter, Deborah Kay Fowler; five grandchildren, Tanner Ross and his wife Delilah, Harleigh Payton Fowler, Makenzie Paige Fowler, Samantha Grace Fowler and Travis Jordan Fowler all of Wichita Falls; her loving sister-in-law, Gwen Napier of Pangburn, Arkansas; her nephew, Barry Napier and wife Cindy; and her niece, Lavon Napier.
