Gladys B. Barr, 92,of Shippensburg, and formerly of Chambersburg, passed away June 3, 2018 at Shippensburg. She was born on April 4, 1926 in Branch , Pennsylvania to Jacob and Clara (Renninger) Schuartzlander. She is the widow of the late Soloman D. Barr, who died June 10, 2000.

She retired from The Stanley Company in 1988. She is a member of Christian Life Assembly of God Church. She loved camping and the outdoors.

She loved children, especially her grandchildren. Her little way of giving back to the community was making tissue boxes to elderly and ill members of the community. .

She was a terrific mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her three children: Barbara (wife of the late Leslie) Carbaugh of Shippensburg, David (husband to Debra Jones) Barr of Stake, Florida and Jean (wife of Curtis) Greenawalt of Apache Junction, Arizona. She has 10 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd. Chambersburg has been entrusted with conducting the services.
