Obituary for John Nelson John Colton Nelson, 29, of Chambersburg passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at home. He was born November 9, 1988 in Chambersburg, the son of Tracy and the late John “Jack” Nelson. He was a 2007 graduate of C.A.S.H.S., and he later attended HCC where he studied science.

Colton had a childhood love of baseball, and more recently developed a passion for rugby and spent many enjoyable years playing and refereeing. He was well loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. In addition to his mother, Tracy (Leidig) Nelson, he is survived by three sisters: Samantha Nelson, Maureen Smith (Ryan), Catherine LoVerdi (Jason); maternal grandparents: Sam and Linda Leidig and five nephews whom he adored.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Nelson and his uncle, Todd Leidig. There will be a visitation from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the William F. Sellers Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm with the Rev.

Dr. Dianne Salter officiating. Interment will follow. Online condolences may be expressed at www.
