Edward J O’Gara, 79, of Fayetteville, passed away October 18, 2018. He was born on July 29, 1939 in Jersey City , New Jersey to Martin and Margaret (Winston) O’Gara. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and was a member of Knights of Columbus for close to sixty years.

He was a graduate of St. Peters University in Jersey City and attended NYU in New York. Edward and his wife Marie moved to Fayetteville in 2000 and formerly resided in Hackettstown, NJ. He was a avid college sports fan and enjoyed traveling.

Edward is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie and their three children; Kelly ( Robert) Sinn of Newfield, NY, Mark A. (Jodi) O’Gara of Cumming, Georgia and John (Brenda) O’Gara of Liberty, NJ and five grandchildren; Andrew O’Gara, Nicholas O’Gara, Meghan Sinn, Kiersten Sinn, and Trevor Sinn. He is also survived by a brother, Michael of Lynhurst, New Jersey and a number of nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
