Harry Alexander Bell, 76, of Greencastle, PA. , passed away peacefully at his home in Greencastle, PA on August 24, 2018. Harry was born on November 25, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Harry and Martha (Ross) Bell; and was preceded in death by his twin sister, Martha Bell Arnold and great-granddaughter, Lily Romeo.

Harry is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Bell; his children Susan Waite(Eddie), Christine Dowd (Tim), Harry Bell Jr. (Lynn), Melissa Hill (Wade), Andrea Good (Pete), and Noah Krikstan (Lori); his sister, Janet Bell Adams; and proud Papa of his much loved and treasured 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and close friends. Harry enlisted in the United States Army at age 17, serving in both Korea and Germany. He had a long and successful career with the Sheet Metal Workers Union, first as a Journeyman and Business Representative at Local 12 in Pittsburgh, PA and later retiring as Assistant to the General President at the Union’s International headquarters in Washington, DC.

Harry was a lifelong Steelers and Pirates fan. He enjoyed golfing and looked forward to his weekly Wednesday morining breakfast with friends. He loved his dogs and never met one who didn’t love him back.

But, his favorite times were those spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A service and celebration of life will be held on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 beginning at 11am at 104 B Street Restaurant, 104 East Baltimore St., Greencastle, PA 17225.
