William J. Walsh, 80, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away September 7, 2018 at Manor Care Nursing Services, Chambersburg. He was born on September 12, 1937 in Mt. Vernon, New York to Joseph and Claire (Dulude) Walsh.

He had attended Iona College in Mt. Vernon, NY, Columbia University in New York City and New York University in New York City. He had taught english at N.Y. University, Notre Dam University on Staten Island, NY and Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, NJ.

He then worked for the Dept. of the Army as a systems analyst at Letterkenny Army Depot and Huntsville, Alabama. He was of the Episcopalian Faith.

William was very much a scholar and deeply interested in a variety of religous studies. William is survived by his wife, Judith Lyell (Walker) Walsh and a brother, Thomas Walsh of Miami Florida. Funeral services are private.

Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg has been entrusted with conducting the services.
