Donald L. Poling, 79, of Chambersburg, passed away September 23, 2018 at Menno Haven Nursing Home Chambersburg. . He was born on September 17, 1939 in Willoughby, Ohio to Ralph and Zola (Lehman ) Poling.

He spent most of his adult life in Bethesda, Maryland as a computer sales contractor for the government. He was an avid tennis player, and a member of Edgemoore Club in Bethesda, MD. He loved Porsches and was a member of Porsche Club of America.

He loved to vacation in Cape Hatteras and St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his three children: Erin (wife of Thomas) Buckingham of Potomac, Maryland, Hilary (wife of Dustin) Stockslager of Chambersburg and Tyler Poling of Chambersburg.

He has four grandchildren: Summer Buckingham, Brooke Buckingham, Cameron Buckingham and Stone Stockslager and his dog, Brindle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn McGinn Poling who died on Jan. 15, 2009.

A memorial service will be held Saturday Sept. 29th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Menno Haven with Pastor Lori Witmer officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be sent to Menno Haven Benevolence Fund.

Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home is conducting the funeral services.
