Obituary for George Harrison George Michael Harrison, 71, passed away on July 2, 2018 at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born March 18, 1947 in Chambersburg, the son of the late Richard E. and Dorothy E. (Lugenbeel) Harrison. Attended Corpus Christi, Chambersburg Area Senior High School, and Little Rock AR High School.

He also took some classes at The Pennsylvania State University before joining the United States Navy. Attended Corpus Christi Church as a child. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam from 1967 -1971.

Member of VFW post 1599. He was semi-retired, working most recently part time at the Giant Grocery Store on Wayne Ave. George spent most of his career as a car salesman.

Surviving are: his wife of 19 years, Donna Bard Harrison; children: Jennifer (David)Plum of Chambersburg , Eric Harrison of Carlisle; stepchildren: Chesley (Huan) Patterson of Baltimore, Melissa Punt of Chambersburg; grandchildren: Lindsay Weller, Benjamin (Camry) Weller, Cassidy and Madison Patterson, Cloey Punt, Holly, Zachary, Logan, and Meghan Harrison; And three great grandchildren; sisters: Kathy (Sid) Auman of Chambersburg, Susan (Larry) Fry of Florida, many nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as in-laws and many friends who are part of a large extended family. A private celebration of life service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Michael J. Fox Foundation.
