Obituary for Doris Howe (Witmer) Doris “Jean” Howe, 86, of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Chambersburg Hospital. She was born on Thursday, October 22, 1931 in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Richard Stanley Witmer and Emma Elizabeth (Lohman) (Witmer) Berlin. She was a life long member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, a member of the Garden Club and the High School Class Reunion Committee (1949).

Jean was a Registered Nurse at the Chambersburg Hospital, retiring in 1991. She graduated from the Washington County Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. Surviving are her five children: Kimberley Michelle Frank, David Scott Frank (Jennifer), Alma Louise Howe, Robert Carl Howe (Anna), Paula Jean Howe; eleven grandchildren: Sara Keane, Elliott Allison, Timothy Frank, Elizabeth White, Kristina Gardner, Natasha Fitz, Justin Kendall, Crystal Immel, Clayton Howe, Drew Guyer, Dane Guyer; nine great grandchildren and a brother, Philip Berlin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Ann (Howe) Kendall. The Funeral will be held 11am on Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Sellers Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Bruce Drucenmiller officiating.

There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association, act.
