Aubrey Glen Moore, 85, of West Ural Street Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family. Glen was born on November 20, 1933, in Rochester, TX to Elias and Lottie Moore. Later, he met the love of his life, Peggy Joyce Patton, and got married on July 19, 1952, in Lueders, TX.

Glen was an active member and custodian of the Sunset Church of Christ, of which he retired from this year. His servant heart and tireless dedication was not only evident by his work, but also in his love for the children at the Shining Stars Preschool. Over the years, Glen loved getting to play and coach softball; as well as, drinking coffee with the guys at McDonalds.

For many years, he also owned and managed Glen’s Auto Sales. Glen enjoyed telling jokes, figuring out the daily crossword puzzle, and watching Gun Smoke and Jeopardy. But most of all, Glen loved getting to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment he had with them.

He will be missed and remembered always. Glen was preceded in death by his father, Elias Franklin Moore; mother, Lottie Pearl (Hargrove) Moore; son, Darrel Moore; brother, Bill Moore; brother, Pep Moore; and sister, Joyce Shelley. Glen is survived by his wife, Peggy Moore of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Diane Athanasiou and husband, John Paul of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Darlene Shelton and husband, Lynn of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Denice Peterson and husband, Don of Carlsbad, NM; son, Dennis Moore of Carlsbad, NM; eight grandchildren: Chris Athanasiou; Kevan Athanasiou and wife, Jenna; Jeff Shelton and wife, Kara; Jenger Wilkomn and husband, Tracy; Jana Callicoat and husband, John; Preston Peterson and wife, Sarai; Lynde Longbine and husband Jeremy; Daegan Benham and husband, Quentin; seventeen great-grandchildren: Audrey Athanasiou, Hayden Shelton, Brylee Shelton, Merit Shelton, Holly McCarty, Kaidence Wilkomn, Jaes Wilkomn, Zion Wilkomn, Kambryn Callicoat, Adeline Callicoat, Edgar Rodriguez, Yesid Peterson, Jack Peterson, Kason Longbine, LanDree Longbine, Brynlee Benham, Ryker Benham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Sunset Church of Christ with Mike Veilleux officiating. Cremation will take place following the service.
