Gloria’s Obituary Gloria Ann Bott, 80, of Paxton passed away 7:16 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Accolade Heathcare of Paxton Senior Living. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton with Rev. Tom Anders officiating.

Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Gloria was born December 27, 1938 in Rural Newton, Illinois the daughter of Fred and Gladys Davis Quincy.

She married John Lawrence Bott June 20, 1965 in Jasper County. He survives. Along with her husband, she is survived by two sons, Raymond Bott of Urbana, Donald Bott of Paxton and half-sister, Dorothy Stewart of Greenup, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Madonna. Gloria spent her childhood in the Casey area graduating from Casey High School and attended Eastern Illinois University for two years. After she married John, they lived in St. Louis, Missouri where he was an U. S. Air Force recruiter and moved to various towns during his career.

They came to Paxton in 1977 where she was a checker at the Paxton IGA and retired after 25 years. Gloria enjoyed reading and spending time with family. Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
