Gloria’s Obituary Gloria Joan Johnston, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in Grove, OK. Gloria was born on August 21, 1939 in Clovis, New Mexico to her parents, Clyde Emery Porter and Eula Mae Gibson-Porter. Gloria was a good and wonderful mom.

Around 1966 she received her license as a LPN to provide for her family. She worked in Vinita, OK for a private doctor, then with St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She loved gardening, yard work and most of all spending time with her family.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Eula Porter; husband, Wesley Johnston; brother, Clyde Porter and nephew, Hank Porter. Gloria is survived by her sons, Don Johnston of Eucha, OK, Terry Johnston and wife Bella of Coffeyville, KS; 3 grandchildren, Andrea and Ben Johnston of Coffeyville, KS, Dillion Johnston of Eucha, OK; 5 great-grandchildren; niece, Shelly Creuw of Lowell, MA; nephew, Michael Porter of Lowell, MA; numerous cousins, extended family and friends. Gloria’s family will have a private family Graveside Funeral Service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
