Obituary of Gloria Nelson Gloria P. Nelson, 84, of Crane St. Apartments, Jamestown passed away Saturday (February 23, 2019) in UPMC Chautauqua. A lifelong area resident she was born February 18, 1935 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Gustaf Nelson and Clara Smith Nelson Jones. Gloria was a graduate of Jamestown High School and Jamestown Business College.

Prior to retirement she was employed by Private Industry Council. Gloria loved spending time with her family. She was a nature lover who enjoyed bird watching.

She was also a talented artist in drawing and sketching. Some of her other hobbies included crossword puzzles, card games and dominoes. Surviving are two daughters: Kathy (Jerry) Yachetta of Falconer, Kristin Olson Johnson of Jamestown; six grandchildren: Jay Yachetta (Allie Prosser), Amanda (John) Pinciaro, Westley F. Johnson IV (Britta Boje), Dillon R. Johnson, Willow R. Rader, Kalib A. Rader; three sisters: Donna Carlson of Connecticut, Sandra (Anthony) Triscari of Ashville, Laura Mohr of Ripley; two brothers: Raymond Jones of Sinclairville, Leslie Jones of Kingman, AZ, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Donald Larson in 1956, her second husband Raymond C. Olson in 2008; her step father Earl W. Jones; two brothers: Edward A. Nelson, John A. Nelson and a sister Martha Loucks. Friends will be received by the family from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home.

Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt Chaplain of Lutheran will officiate. Burial will be in The Lake View Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be donated to the Jamestown Audubon Society, 1600 Riverside Rd. , Jamestown, NY 14701.
