Obituary for Gregory J. Deppas Gregory J. “Greg” Deppas, 59, of W. 3rd Street, Jamestown, N.Y. passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital. He was born November 19, 1957 in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of the late Andrew G. Deppas and Pat Luciano Deppas of Jamestown, N.Y. Greg was a graduate of Southwestern High School in 1975. In his earlier years he had worked in landscaping in California and Portland, OR.

He was a manager at Lowe’s in Warren, PA. He enjoyed playing golf and watching old Western movies. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Greg had a great sense of humor and always saw the bright side of life. His friends were always important to him. In addition to his mother, Greg is survived by his sister, Kathleen “Kathy” Hall of Jamestown, N.Y., his niece, Alanna (Eric) Landin of Batavia, Ill, and his nephew, Christopher (Rachael) Hall of Knightdale, N.C. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother-in- law, James D. “Jim” Hall.

Family and friends may call at Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, 316 East Fifth Street, Jamestown, N.Y. on Friday from 4-6 PM. A Christian Wake Service will be led by Rev. Dennis W. Mende on Friday at 3:45 PM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM at SS Peter & Paul- Holy Apostles Parish, 508 Cherry Street, Jamestown, N.Y. The Rev. Dennis Mende, pastor will Celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
