Gus’ Obituary It is with great sorrow that the family of Gus Pitcher announce his passing on March 27, 2019. Gus was born in Fulton on April 11, 1937. Gus was an amazing husband to his “bride”, Mary Ann, and Dad to Jeff and Lisa.

He was so very proud of his grandchildren and “greats”. For many years he was a machinist, following in the footsteps of his father. In 1963 he and his wife purchased a garage and worked together every day making a living and changing with the times.

He and his great granddaughter, Emily, worked together one summer restoring a 1963 Comet. It became a highlight of his week and a tradition that several of his friends would congregate at the garage for their Tuesday gab sessions. Gus was a graduate of John C. Birdlebough High School, class of 1955.

He was a founding member of ESTA Safety Park in Cicero. He was an honorary fireman of Phoenix Fire Department and a member of Phoenix VFW Post 5540 having served in the US Army during the Berlin Crisis. Gus was a 31-year member of the International Northeastern Harley Davidson Dresser and Touring Association, also an avid pool player having won many tournaments.

He took pride in having taught his grandson, Kirk, the fine art of playing pool.
