Gwen’s Obituary Funeral services for Gwen Ann (Payne) Goodwin will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Hugo, OK, with David Wayne Smith officiating; Gwen passed away January 25, 2019, in Kaufman, TX at the age of 64. Gwen Ann (Payne) Goodwin was born July 29, 1954, in Hugo, OK, to Euell T. Payne and Callie Opal (Pence) Payne. She had lived the past 3 years in Kaufman, TX, after moving from Garland, TX, and she was of the Baptist faith.

Gwen enjoyed a close friendship with her YA-YA sisters. She also enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and cooking. Gwen loved spending time with her family, friends, and her dog “Molly”.

She also loved spending time at the beach. The family remembers her as joyful, having a sweet spirit, and always a smile on her face. Gwen was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Jack Payne.

Gwen is survived by her daughter, Amanda Baker and husband, Joseph, of Denton, TX; 3 brothers, Stan Payne and wife, Sara, of Hugo, OK, Jerald Payne and wife, Betty, of Kaufman, TX, and Terry Paul Payne and wife, Susan, of Hugo, OK; sister, Reba Amend and husband, Terry, of Poteau, OK; 2 grandchildren, Caylie Baker, and Morgan Baker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends, Monday, January 28, 2019, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Prater- Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
