Obituary for Harold J. Himes Harold J. Himes, 84, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Country Meadows-West. He was the husband of the late Loreda (Holtzapple) Himes. Harold was born in Yorkana on November 11, 1934, son of the late William and Emma (Kohler) Himes.

He retired as a meter reader for Met-Ed. He attended Red Lion Bible Church and was a lifelong member of Yorkana Game and Gun Club. He is survived by four children, Michael Himes (Connie) of Lancaster, Gail Shaffer (Charles) of Red Lion, Lisa Acosta (George) of Hellam, and Tim Himes (Aren) of Dover; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and four brothers, Glenn, Alvin, Preston, and Stanley Himes.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Himes; five sisters; and six brothers. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 700 Hellam Street, Wrightsville, with the Rev. Steven A. Schmuck officiating.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Yorkana Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring Hospice, 101 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to Red Lion Bible Church, 105 Springvale Road, Red Lion, PA 17356.
