Obituary for Virginia L. “Ginny” Tietbohl Virginia L. “Ginny” Tietbohl, 94, of York entered into rest Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Senior Commons at Powder Mill. She was the wife of the late William E. Tietbohl, II and the late John G. Taylor. Born July 19, 1924 in York Township, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Jennie (Hildebrand) Warner.

Ginny managed the family restaurant, Warners Dairyland, in Red Lion until it was sold. She then worked as a waitress at the Colonial Coffee Shop for over 20 years. She considered many of her customers as family.

Ginny was a 1942 graduate of Red Lion High School. She was a life member of Bethany United Methodist Church where she was a member of the church choir and also played the piano for the children’s Sunday School. Ginny was a past president of the York Restaurant Association and was a Royal Matron of the Order of the Amaranth, Dr. J.M. Hyson Memorial Court, No.

106. She volunteered for over 20 years at York Hospital. Her hobbies included: walking, playing tennis, traveling, playing the piano, ice skating, and being outdoors.

Ginny truly enjoyed being with her family and helping others. She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Taylor and her husband, Charles Test, Jr. of York; 6 grandchildren, Jennie (Bill) Busch, Cathy (Keith) Kleiven, Donna Wolf, Rhondi (Curtis) Emmanuel, John (Sam) Taylor, and Jacob Tietbohl; 7 great grandchildren, Jon and Emily Busch, Thomas and Kimberly Kleiven, and Marisa, Holden, and Dax Taylor; a step daughter, Lyn (Ken) Mikell of Arizona; and a step son, Ronald (Sylvia) Tietbohl of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her son, Hudson Taylor, granddaughter, Christina Taylor, and 3 brothers, Earl Warner, Jesse B. Warner, and Donald M. Warner.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, 121 West Broadway, Red Lion with Pastor Larry Parlett officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held Monday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
