Harold’s Obituary Harold W. Howell, 77 of North NC Highway 150, Lexington died Saturday, January 19, 2019 at his home. A funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, January 24 at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Eric Disher officiating.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday, January 23 at the funeral home. Mr. Howell was born September 30, 1941 in Bladen County, NC to Rufus Rudolph Howell and Rossie Amanda Lewis Howell. He was a certified diesel mechanic and had worked for Dairy Fresh in Winston-Salem.

Harold loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed watching old cowboy movies. Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Cartrette Howell; brothers, David Howell and Earnest Howell, and sisters, Anna Caulder, Edith Jackson and Emily Parker. He is survived by his daughter, Janice York (Brian) of Lexington; his sons, Bobby Howell (Janet) and Johnny Howell, both of Lexington; brothers, Charlie Howell (Frankie) and Richard Howell (Mary Jane), both of Clarkton, NC, Billy Howell (Evelyn) of Dunn, NC; sister, Martha Newsome (Gene) of Fayetteville, NC; his grandchildren, Johnny Howell, Jr., Nichole Hamrick, Ashland Nicole York, Summer Nicole York and his great-grandchildren, Kason Brian Byerly and Ralynn Fae Byerly.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
