Obituary for Harriette Kane Harriette Kane, a resident of Beacon and formerly of Long Island, passed away on October 2, 2018 at Wingate at Beacon. She was 91 years old. Harriette was born in Brooklyn on December 18, 1926 the daughter of the late Jacob and Rose Kaplan.

She married Harold Kane who predeceased her in 1978. Harriette was an interior designer who owned her own company, KB Moulding in East Northport, NY. Harriette is survived by her sons, Mark Kane and wife, Robin, Robert Kane and wife, Eileen and Adam Kane and wife, Tamara; her grandchildren, Alison Gilbey and husband, John, Brian Kane and wife, Melissa, Jessica Cosman and husband, Jim, Harrison Kane and fiancé, Christy, Joe Silvestro and wife, Divya, Simon MacVicar and wife, Jennifer, Paul Kane and Yura Yefymenko and wife, Nami; her great grandchildren, Colin, Brynn, Ryan, Malcom, Jacob, Ella and Isla; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Harriette was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Glady Gold and Marvin Gold. Family and friends will gather on Sunday, October 7 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Cantor Ellen Gersh officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Harriette may be made to Beacon Hebrew Alliance Women’s Group, payable to Ellen Gersh with Women’s Group on memo line. They may be mailed to Beacon Hebrew Alliance, PO Box 7, Beacon, New York 12508. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Patrick J. Halvey of Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, LLC.
