Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery. Mrs. Jones was born June 26, 1928 in Burke, Texas to the late Allie (Collier) and W. A. “Buster” Page, and completed her earthly journey Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at The Joseph House in Lufkin, Texas, having lived all her life in Angelina County.
After graduating Valedictorian of her class at Zavalla High School, she attended and graduated from Satterwhite Business School in Lufkin. She was clerical supervisor in the Woodlands Division of Southland Paper Mills for 19 years. In 1956 she married the love of her life, Wayne Jones, and the ensuing 49 years were filled with traveling every summer with their granddaughters, actively serving in Timberland Drive Church of Christ, enjoying many good times with their “42” Club and entertaining friends in their home.
Mrs. Jones loved her Lord and her church family and was an avid Bible student and teacher. She was an artist, studying under several accomplished oil-painting instructors, and shared beautiful paintings with family and friends. She loved sewing and tried her hand at quilting and crochet as well as many other crafts.
Being stricken with Alzheimer’s disease changed her life drastically, requiring her to leave her home, which she loved and enjoyed, and to finish her journey in a memory-care facility. In her 90-year journey, she touched many lives and, no doubt, hundreds whose paths crossed hers, are thankful she lived! Mrs. Jones leaves behind her precious granddaughters, Tara Baker and husband Floyd of Huntington, Laura Pate and husband Brad of Haughton, Louisiana, and Keri Reid and husband Carlin of Bossier City, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Justin Robertson, Meghan Robertson, Morgan Cayton, Destiny Baker, Emily Baker, and Layne Henderson; great-great-grandchildren, J.J. Robertson, Kasyn Robertson, and Freyah Robertson; and sister, Linda Clark and husband Bill of Huntington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Herbert Wayne Jones in 2005; and precious daughter, Lauralè Cecile Holeyfield in 2010. Also preceding her in death were her brothers and their wives: her twin, Harold Page and wife Helen, Eulon Page and wife Thelma, J.T. “Buddy” Page, and Willie A. Page, Jr. and wife Kathy; sister, Maxie Lou Jacks and husband William Doyle, Sr.; sister-in-law, Lucille Jones Smith and husband Jack.
