Helen J. Wisthoff February 17, 1929 – February 26, 2019 Helen J. Wisthoff, 90, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 11:00 pm in her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, March 4, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Buffalo & 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 am – 11:30 am, Monday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN. She was born February 17, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Anthony and Antoinette (Sienko) Nazimek.

In Michigan City, IN she married John Wisthoff who preceded her. Surviving are a daughter, Debra (Ronald) Womack of Michigan City, IN; two sons, Terance Wisthoff of Michigan City, IN and Brian (Ginger) Wisthoff of Key Largo, FL; and two grandchildren, April Wisthoff and Eric Wisthoff. She was also preceded in death by her son, Darryl Wisthoff; grandchild, Nathan Womack; two sisters, Sophie Killingbeck and Violet Urycki; and two brothers, Stanley and Louis Nazimek.

Helen had worked in the housekeeping department at St. Anthony’s Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed watching sports and news. Contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 411 W. 11th St., Michigan City, IN 46360.
