Helen Koenig, 97, of Richland Center, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Pine Valley Community Village. She was born February 14, 1921 the daughter of Allan and Anna (Imgarten) Gingell in Brunswick, MO. Helen married Kenneth Schwinefus on December 3, 1941.

They had three children: Judy, James, and Ronald; and lived in the LaCrosse area. She married Wilbert H. Koenig in 1975 and moved to Richland Center where she lived until her death. Helen had many interests and hobbies.

She… Read More » enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. Helen also enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, and dancing. She loved and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her children: Judy Schwinefus of CO, Jim (Mary) Schwinefus of Galesville, WI, Ron (Kathy) Schwinefus of Richland Center, WI; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Bill Koenig, parents, brother LeRoy, and sister Ruth. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Richland Center Cemetery. Friends May call Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
