Helen Aleen (Penny) Saulnier entered the presence of our lord on Monday September 24th, 2018 She was born in Aberdeen, SD on August 24, 1923 and shortly thereafter her family moved to Minneapolis, MN where she grew up. She met and married Stan Saulnier in 1944 and his business took them to Louisville, KY and Cleveland, OH, and finally in June of 1955 they made the move to Bellevue, WA. As Penny was busy raising her four children, she found great satisfaction in her membership to the National Philanthropic Sorority Delta Theta Tau.

There she made lifelong friends and did meaningful charity work. With her children all in school, she worked part time for 10 years at Overlake Hospital’s business office. Her husband’s business took them traveling throughout the US and Japan.

They were charter members of Sahalee Country Club and spent many enjoyable hours golfing and socializing. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and then at its conception St. Louise Catholic Church. Penny enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, a good book, good food and a good laugh.

Preceded in death in August of 1988 by her husband of 44 years she is survived by her four children, Stephanie Pollard (Carl), Claudia Kepler, Peter Saulnier and Cindy Saulnier (Donn Vey), 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held in the future. Remembrances can be made in her name to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
