Hilda’s Obituary Hilda M. Snyder, 96, of Saylorsburg, PA passed away Thursday, January 31st, at Pleasant Valley Manor, Stroudsburg, PA. Hilda was born in Bangor, PA on March 5, 1922, a daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Repsher. She was the wife of William M. Snyder.

They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last June. She was employed as a sewing machine operator at various garment mills in the Slate Belt area. Prior to working in the garment mills, Hilda worked on a farm in Blairstown, NJ and she also worked at the club in Harpers Ferry and had the honor of cooking for two former Presidents.

Hilda was a member of the Slate Belt Senior Center and UNITE the garment workers union. In addition to her loving husband William, Hilda is survived by 12 brothers and sisters and two grandsons Floyd Crawn and Terry Stull. She was preceded in death by one daughter Alice Stull and a stepson Michael William Snyder.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at 1:30 PM at St. John’s Cemetery in Bangor, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 200 S. Robinson Avenue, Pen Argyl, PA. Online condolences may be made at www.
