Howard F. Kirby, 83, of Bowling Green passed away July 27, 2018 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Warren County native was born October 28, 1934 to the late Oscar Alford and Mary Alice (Moody) Kirby. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred P. ‘Mickey’ Kirby and a son, Monty Kirby.

Howard was a retired police officer and dispatcher at Western Kentucky University. He was a loving Pappaw and Father. He loved watching his Purple Martins, listening to country music, and being outdoors.

Survivors include his sons, Frankie Kirby, Christopher Kirby, and Austin Kirby (Ariel); daughters, Belinda Staten (Scott) and Melinda Kirby (Jason Dearing); grandchildren, Tashia Kirby, Erin Kirby, Jacob Staten (Ashley), Heather Adler (Harvey), Ashley Adler, Christian Kirby, and Calieb Kirby; sisters, Mary Colleen Herrman, Naomi Mayes, Phyllis Kirby Frey; brothers, Joel David and Bobby Glen; and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held. Inurnment will take place in Friendship Community Cemetery.
