Hugh Curtis Hunt, 91, of Sullivan, Indiana went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Sullivan, Indiana. He was born in Sullivan, Indiana April 10, 1927 the son of Hugh B. Hunt and Hazel M Curtis Hunt. Hugh was a WWII Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post #2 and the VFW Post #1127 both of Brazil, Indiana, Centennial Masonic Lodge #541, Scottish Rite, Zorah Shrine, and the Brazil Elks Lodge #762.

He was the owner, operator of the Hugh C. Hunt Construction Company for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Shirley Carrico Hunt, whom he married on November 7, 1947, one son, Donald Hunt (Nancy) of Sullivan, Indiana, one daughter, Peggy A. Huffines (Tony) of Brazil, Indiana, two grandchildren, Hugh R. Hunt (Amber), Katherine Shanahan (David), three great-grandchildren, Hugh Curtis Hunt, Grace Elizabeth Hunt, Kelly Jane Shanahan.

Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. Ben Cassiday officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until services Thursday.

Interment will follow in the Center Ridge Cemetery. There will be Military Graveside rites by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera American Legion Posts and the Sullivan VFW Post.
