Graveside services for Jack E. Shepherd, age 81 of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Lindale City Cemetery in Lindale, Texas with United States Air Force Chaplain, Captain Justin Greene officiating under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Jack passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Tyler, Texas. He was born May 19, 1937 in Lynch, Kentucky to the late James Martin and Eliza (Jarnigan) Shepherd.

Prior to his recent move to Holly Lake Ranch, Jack lived 43 years in Joplin, Missouri where he retired after 25 years of service with the city of Joplin. He was also retired after 20 years of service to his country with the United States Air Force. Jack will be forever remembered as a devoted and loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather.

He is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Jack is survived by wife of 58 years, Nancy Shepherd of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; daughters, Patty Robbins and husband, Mike of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas and Anita Fleig and husband, Jim of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brother, Martin Shepherd and wife, Virginia of Corbin, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Missouri. In lieu of flowers the family has ask that memorial contributions be made to: Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd.
