JACK THOMPSON November 29, 1946 – December 21, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card CHICOPEE – John M. “Jack” Thompson, 72, a native and lifelong resident of Chicopee, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018. Jack was born on November 29, 1946, one of 8 children of the late John G. and Evelyn M. (Koimn) Thompson and is survived by his 7 siblings and their significant others: Craig A. Thompson (Connie Orzech) and Susan Gelinas (Bill), both of Chicopee, Gary A. Thompson and Gail Meunier (Rich Tulloch), both of Holyoke, Keith G. Thompson of Suffield, Richard “Dicky” Thompson (Kim Soukup) of Harwich, Janice Renaud (Chris) of Westfield and several nieces and nephews. Jack was employed for 35 years by Aetna Life Insurance Co. as a Programmer and had earlier been employed by the former Wilson’s Auto School in Chicopee as a driving instructor.

He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #69 in Chicopee, had served on the Chicopee St. Patrick’s Parade Committee and was a member of the Galaxy Club at Westover Air Base. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass in Jack’s honor at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in Holy Name Parish at Assumption Church, 94 Springfield St., Chicopee. Jack has been interred in the Thompson Family Plot in Calvary Cemetery on Monday, December 24, 2018.
