Obituary for Joseph T. Keating Jr. Joseph T. Keating, Jr., 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Baystate Medical Center, with his loving family at his side. Born in Boston on September 8, 1934, son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (English) Keating, Sr., he has resided in Chicopee for most of his life. A US Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

Joseph was a retired Assistant Director of Engineering for Baystate Medical Center. He enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, and always looked forward to trips to his favorite casinos, especially in Atlantic City. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-three years, Suzanne (Houle) Keating; daughter, Linda Lemieux; step-sons, Wayne Taylor and Daniel Taylor, both of Chicopee; cherished grandchildren; and his sister, Elaine Sullivan of Quincy.

He was predeceased by his son and daughter, and a sister and brother. Funeral services for Joseph will be held Tuesday morning from Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by burial in the MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. A calling hour will be held Tuesday from 8:30-9:30AM.
