Mildred (Paproch) Adamczyk, 100, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019, surrounded by her family. Born on June 9, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Paproch and was a lifelong Chicopee resident. Mildred worked in sales for various retail businesses in the area.

She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church, and a member of the Rosary Society. Mildred treasured family times together, and will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law. Mildred enjoyed listening to polka music and going to Polish picnics with her husband, family and friends.

She was an awesome cook, and her golumbki, pierogi, red soup and potato salad were the best around. She loved having her family for Sunday dinner and you always left with a goodie bag of delicious food. Mildred was predeceased in 1985 by her beloved husband, Emil A. Adamczyk; and is survived by her four loving children, Stanley E. Adamczyk and companion Kelly J. Bizon of Chicopee, Robert P. Adamczyk and Barbara A. Burke of Agawam, Thomas W. Adamczyk and wife Nancy of West Springfield, and CarolAnn O’Leary and husband Kevin of Springfield; six cherished grandchildren, Michael J. Adamczyk and wife Lorrie of Chicopee, Barbara Lecuyer and husband Joseph of Chicopee, Ashley Bogart and husband James of Vienna, VA, Meghan O’Leary, Moira Shaw and Brendan O’Leary of Springfield; and five very special great-grandchildren, Justin M. Adamczyk, Ronan and Killian Shaw, and McKenna and Peyton Bogart.

Mildred was predeceased by her step-sister, Sister Mary Bonavita. Funeral services for Mildred will be held Tuesday at 11AM at Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12PM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony St., Chicopee. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Calling hours are Monday from 4-7PM.
