Obituary for James M. Matusko James M. Matusko, 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2019 at home with his loving family by his side. Born August 8, 1947, son of the late Michael and Aileen (Yezierski) Matusko, he was raised and schooled in Amherst and has resided in Springfield since 1971. Jim was a graduate of Amherst High School and later earned a Bachelor’s Degree from UMASS.

He was retired bus driver for the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority. Jim enjoyed playing pitch, dominoes, cribbage and solving crossword puzzles. Jim is survived by three loving sons, Stefan Matusko and wife Carrie, of Holyoke, Timothy Matusko and wife Erica, of Springfield, and Jonathan Matusko, of Southbridge; and four cherished grandchildren, Kathryn Matusko, Amanda Matusko, Kyra Matusko and Austin Matusko.

All funeral services are private. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, Attn: Many vs Cancer, 1250 4th St., Santa Monica, CA 90401.
