Gordon, 65, a resident of Chicopee for most of her life, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in the comfort of her own home. Born in Holyoke on May 1, 1953, the daughter of the late Roger W. and Ruth F. (Getto) Gordon, she was educated in local schools. Debra was employed as a bartender at various local establishments over her career.

She was an active member of the Women’s’ Auxiliary at American Legion Post 275 in Chicopee. Debra leaves her fiancé, Lenny Gamache of Chicopee, two brothers, Richard A. Gordon of West Springfield and Robert J. Gordon of Hadley, a sister, Sue Hempel and her husband Edward of Westfield, her niece, Krystal Hempel of Westfield and 2 nephews, William Batchelor of Clearwater, FL and Christopher Gordon of Granby. She will also be missed by her extended family, the Gamache’s.

Besides her parents, Debra was also predeceased by a brother, Roger W. Gordon, Jr. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held in her honor on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chicopee Moose Lodge and Family Center, 244 Fuller Rd. , Chicopee, MA, 01020.
