Jacob Lee Fugate, 28, of West Burlington, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born May 15, 1990, in Fort Smith, AR, he was the son of Kendall Fugate and Angie Lipcaman. He worked in production at Borghi.

He attended West Burlington High School. Jacob enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He loved to make people laugh, had a peacemaker attitude and was a straightforward person.

He loved the LA Lakers, especially Kobe Bryant, and the Oakland Raiders. Survivors include his mother, Angie, of Mount Sterling, IL; father, Kendall, of West Burlington; one brother, Jeremy Fugate of Keokuk; three sisters, Jessica Fugate of Palmetto, LA, Dawn (Dallas) Lewis of Keokuk, and Melissa (Matthew) Menefee of Billings, MT; many dear nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles; maternal grandmother, Yvonne Swan of Mount Sterling, IL; and paternal grandmother, Bonnie Fugate of Keokuk. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandfathers, one uncle and two aunts.

Cremation will be accorded following the service. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM Friday, March 15, 2019 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. The funeral service for Jacob will be 5:00 PM Friday, March 15, 2019, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiating.

A memorial has been established in his name.
