Jacob Scott “Jake” Marin, 47, of Big Spring, died Saturday, July 14, 2018 in Midland. Vigil service will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park. Jake was born on March 3, 1971 in Big Spring, Texas to Janie Mendoza Marin and Frank Marin, Jr He was a lifetime resident of Big Spring.

He is survived by his wife Marni Franco of Big Spring; one daughter: Aarika Marin (Krista) of Big Spring; his parents: Janie and Frank Marin, Jr., of Big Spring; one sister: Marlina Paredez (Jerry); one brother: Brent Marin (Grace); his maternal grandmother: Juana Mendoza, all of Big Spring and a number of nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his best friend and dog daughter: Tinkerbell Marin. He was preceded in death by one son: Adrian Marin; one daughter: Jaycee Marin; his maternal grandfather: Santos Mendoza, Sr. and his paternal grandparents: Mary and Frank Marin, Sr. Pallbearers will be Jesse Reyes, Victor Ornelas, Jody Bennett, Jose Hernandez, Jeff Walleck and Gus Fierro. Honorary pallbearers will be Freddy Rodriguez, Kaden Reyes, Victor Ornelas, Jr. and Rigo Moran.
