Jake Williams, 72, of S. Rose Avenue, Kannapolis, passed away Wednesday, September 26 2018, at Atrium Health – Main in Charlotte. He was born, June 9, 1946 in Savanah, GA to the late Rob Williams and the late Clarice Gaines Williams. Jake was educated in the Fort Laudedale Schools and spent the majority of his working career as a roofer and auto mechanic.

In 2007 he relocated to Salisbury with his wife Rosemary Hobbs Williams. Once in NC, Jake was baptized into Christ at Centergrove Road Church of Christ; where he was a faithful member until his unexpected passing. Jake was affectionately known for his “tasty” collard greens, fishing, grilling and love of music.

Services will be held Saturday, October 6, at Centergrove Road Church of Christ. Visitation will be 1:30 – 2:30 PM with funeral services at 2:30 PM. Those left to cherish fond memories include, his wife, Rosemary H. Williams of Kannapolis daughter, April of Ft.

Lauderdale, FL; three sons, Jake Williams, Jr. of Virginia, Rishard Williams, James Odell Harris (Kathy) both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; stepdaughter, Vernice Gallon Clyburn (George) of Kannapolis; stepson, Maurice Gallon, Jr. of Kannapolis.
