Obituary for James Barreau James Barreau, 78, of Evansville, WI, passed away peacefully after a fierce battle with various illnesses on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, WI, surrounded and comforted by his daughter, Julie; granddaughter, Constance; and sister, Regina. He was born on April 18, 1940 in Richland Center, WI, to Beulah and Leo Barreau. James graduated from Richland County High School.

James worked for a moving company briefly after graduation before he transitioned to Uniroyal Engineered Products in Stoughton, WI, where he worked for 43 dedicated years. After retiring from Uniroyal, James spent most of his free time with his daughter and grandchildren. He was a devoted son, brother, father, and grandfather.

James was kind, generous, wise, intelligent, and had a wicked sense of humor with a heart of gold. He shared his knowledge willingly with anyone who asked and teased anyone he cared about with a playful mercifulness. He was an incredible human being and he will be missed dearly.

Survivors include his children, Julie Barreau, Troy Barreau and James Avery; grandchildren, Constance Barreau, James Anderson and Justin Barreau; siblings, Regina Fojut and Catherine Downing. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Beulah and Leo Barreau. Services for James will be held at a later date.

Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd. , Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
