James’ Obituary James Brewer Lam, Jr., 67, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Sentara RMH Medical Center. Mr. Lam was born on July 11, 1951 in Rockingham County and was a son of the late James Brewer and Clara Leona (Knight) Lam Sr. James worked for the Rockingham County Landfill until his retirement in 2016. He also did repair and service work on cisterns.

He enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle. James was a social person who never met a stranger. He attended the Garber’s Church of the Brethren.

On September 2, 1972 he married the former Debra Marie Cullers who survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lam is survived by his brothers, Erwin Lam Sr., and wife Nancy of Rockingham, Roger “R.C.” Lam and wife Linda of Elkton; sisters-in-law, Donna Cullers of Dayton, Barbara Miller of Singers Glen; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 11 AM at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home with Rev.

Walt Crull officiating. Burial will follow at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 until 7 PM at the funeral home.
