Dovie Ruth’s Obituary Dovie Ruth Hedrick, 93, a resident of Rockingham, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Hedrick was born on January 14, 1926 in Onego, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Jason and Della Phares Mallow. She enjoyed baking wedding cakes, quilting and canning.

She was a member of Mt. Clinton United Methodist Church. On November 29, 1945, she married the Reverend Roy Hedrick who passed away on November 29, 2015.

Surviving are her children, Nancy Harper and husband Harvey of Seneca Rocks, West Virginia, Wilma White and husband Fred of Rockingham, Wanda Miller of Rockingham, Paul Hedrick and wife Ruby of Rockingham; a son-in-law, Brady Miller of Rockingham; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hedrick was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Pastor Kevin Poeckert will conduct a funeral service at Mt.

Clinton United Methodist Church on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Hedrick Family Cemetery in Seneca Rocks, West Virginia. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt.

Clinton United Methodist Church, 1798 Muddy Creek Road, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22802. Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www. mcmullenfh.com.
