Ogretta’s Obituary Ogretta Lou (Carr) Lloyd, 93, of Singers Glen, passed away on Monday March 11, 2019 at Hospice of the Piedmont Center in Charlottesville. Mrs. Lloyd was born on July 16, 1925 in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late David and Bertha Blanche (Phillips) Carr. She was a member of the Fairview Church of the Brethren.

Ogretta worked at Tenneco for 18 ½ years as a sheet metal press operator. She also worked on the family farm. Mrs. Lloyd always had large flower gardens and grew flowers of every variety and color.

She was also known for her wonderful cooking. On June 12, 1945 she married Roy Lee Lloyd, who preceded her in death on June 4, 2009. Mrs. Lloyd is survived by her children, Larry Lloyd and wife Nancy of Singers Glen, Catherine Arehart and husband Ronald of Harrisonburg; four siblings, Willie Moyers, Janet Lindamood, Carolyn Lincoln, Dennis Carr; six grandchildren, Kevin Lloyd, Mark Lloyd, Melinda Lloyd, Steven Lloyd, Tina Campbell, Gregory Arehart; fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ogretta was preceded in death by siblings, Martha Joyce Carr, Charles Warren Carr, Ray Carr, and David Elwood Carr. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 3 PM at the Greenmount Cemetery with Rev. Walt Crull officiating.

There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home, and the casket will remain closed. Those desiring to sign the register book may do so on Tuesday from 10 AM until 5 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Singers Glen Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O.
