Carl’s Obituary Carl Allen Payne, 69, of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Sentara RMH Medical Center. Mr. Payne was born on May 18, 1949 in Rockingham County and was a son of the late Lennie Calvin Payne and Lorraine Pansy (Dove) Payne Whetzel. He did silo repair work for many years.

Carl is survived by his siblings, Glenda Warren and Carroll “Jimmy” Payne and wife Karen; his caregiver Tammy Cunningham; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by a brother Harold Payne and a sister Shirley Curry. A graveside service will be held on Thursday March 7, 2019 at 1 PM at the Mt.

Clinton Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home, however those desiring to view the body and sign the register book may do so from 9 AM until 5 PM on Wednesday March 6, 2019 at the McMullen Funeral Home. Arrangements entrusted to the McMullen Funeral Home.
