James’ Obituary James Edward “Fritto” Snyder, 69, of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 31, 2018. He was born on November 15, 1949, in South Charleston, to the late James Wilson and Mary Snyder. Jim was a loving husband, dad, and poppy.

He retired from the United Steel Workers Local Union 14614 and was a member of Higher Ground Christian Fellowship, St. Albans. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Isaac Snyder. Jim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cheryl Snyder; sons, Ernest Hissom (Markita) of Poca, Samuel Snyder (Tina) of Glen; daughters, Jennifer Noffsinger of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Angel Snyder of Mount Hope; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 7, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Angel Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

In lieu of flowers, it was James’ wish to honor his mother’s memory and have donations made to the Alzheimer’s Association, West Virginia Chapter, 1601 2nd Avenue, Charleston, WV 25387.
